Participant Code of Conduct

Purpose

Monse-Heart is committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for everyone participating in Monse-Heart educational programs, workshops, online learning, community events, and other educational activities. 

These standards help create a positive learning experience where every participant feels welcomed, respected, and supported. 

Professional Conduct

Participants are expected to: 

  • Treat fellow participants, educators, staff, volunteers, and guest speakers with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. 
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment. 
  • Respect different perspectives while maintaining appropriate and constructive communication. 
  • Follow instructions provided by Monse-Heart educators and staff during educational activities. 

Virtual Learning & Account Responsibilities

When participating in virtual learning experiences, participants should: 

  • Use their legal name or an approved display name when creating an account. 
  • Maintain an appropriate profile photo that reflects a professional or respectful learning environment. 
  • Join sessions from a quiet location whenever possible. 
  • Keep login credentials secure and never share account access with others, except a parent or legal guardian when appropriate. 
  • Ensure devices and internet connections are suitable for participating in online learning activities. 

Monse-Heart reserves the right to request changes to profile names or images that may be considered inappropriate or disruptive.

Participation During Live Sessions

Participants are expected to: 

  • Join sessions on time. 
  • Mute microphones when not speaking. 
  • Participate respectfully in discussions and activities. 
  • Use chat features appropriately. 
  • Follow directions regarding camera use when applicable. 
  • Avoid activities that distract from the learning experience. 

Respectful Communication

Professional communication is expected during all interactions, including: 

  • Live workshops 
  • Virtual classes 
  • Email correspondence 
  • Discussion forums 
  • Community platforms 
  • Social media interactions related to Monse-Heart programs 

Harassment, bullying, discrimination, intimidation, abusive language, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. 

Academic Integrity & Responsible Use

Participants are expected to: 

  • Complete learning activities honestly. 
  • Respect intellectual property rights. 
  • Use Monse-Heart educational resources only for their intended educational purposes. 
  • Refrain from copying, distributing, or reproducing copyrighted materials without permission. 

Screenshots, recordings, photographs, or redistribution of educational content may only be made with prior written authorization from Monse-Heart. 

Privacy & Technology

Participants are expected to: 

  • Respect the privacy of other participants. 
  • Protect confidential information shared during educational activities. 
  • Use Monse-Heart’s digital platforms responsibly. 
  • Comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws while using Monse-Heart services. 

Violations

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in one or more of the following actions, depending on the nature and severity of the violation: 

  • Verbal or written warning 
  • Temporary suspension from a program or activity 
  • Removal from a live session or educational event 
  • Suspension or termination of access to Monse-Heart services 
  • Additional action where required by law or organizational policy
