Educator Code of Conduct

Purpose
Monse-Heart Education LLC is committed to providing high-quality educational experiences in a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
This Educator Code of Conduct outlines the professional standards and expectations for all educators, facilitators, instructors, presenters, guest speakers, and volunteers who deliver educational programs or represent Monse-Heart in any instructional capacity.
Professional Standards
Educators are expected to demonstrate professionalism in every interaction by:
- Treating participants, families, colleagues, and community partners with courtesy and respect.
- Demonstrating honesty, integrity, fairness, and accountability.
- Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Being prepared, punctual, and reliable for all educational activities.
- Communicating clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
- Serving as positive role models for participants.
Teaching Responsibilities
Educators are expected to:
- Deliver educational content accurately and professionally.
- Encourage participant engagement and active learning.
- Foster respectful discussion and constructive participation.
- Support a positive learning experience for participants with diverse backgrounds and learning needs whenever reasonably possible.
- Follow Monse-Heart educational standards, policies, and instructional guidelines.
- Reinforce the expectations outlined in the Monse-Heart Participant Code of Conduct.
Privacy, Confidentiality & Responsible Use of Information
Educators are responsible for protecting participant privacy and handling information responsibly.
Educators are expected to:
- Respect the confidentiality of participant information.
- Use Monse-Heart systems and educational platforms responsibly.
- Safeguard login credentials and sensitive information.
- Comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws, as well as Monse-Heart policies regarding participant information.
- Respect copyright, licensing, and intellectual property rights when using educational materials.
Virtual & In-Person Presentation Standards
Whether teaching online or in person, educators are expected to present themselves professionally.
Educators should:
- Maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the learning environment.
- Use reliable technology, clear audio, and an appropriate camera setup during virtual sessions.
- Select professional or neutral virtual backgrounds when applicable.
- Ensure that confidential or sensitive information is not visible during virtual or in-person instruction.
- Create learning environments that are organized, respectful, and free from unnecessary distractions.
Professional Appearance
Educators are expected to present themselves in a manner that reflects the professionalism of Monse-Heart Education LLC.
Appropriate attire should be clean, neat, and suitable for the educational setting, whether virtual or in person.
Clothing, accessories, or personal presentation that may distract from the learning experience or create an unprofessional environment should be avoided.
Communication & Professional Boundaries
Educators are expected to:
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with participants.
- Communicate through approved Monse-Heart platforms whenever practical.
- Respond to participant questions and communications within a reasonable timeframe.
- Treat all participants fairly and without discrimination.
- Maintain respectful interactions in classrooms, workshops, webinars, emails, discussion forums, and other educational settings.
Scheduling & Professional Responsibility
Educators are expected to honor scheduled educational commitments.
When cancellation or rescheduling is unavoidable, educators should provide as much advance notice as reasonably possible so participants and Monse-Heart staff can make appropriate arrangements.
Violations
Failure to comply with this Educator Code of Conduct may result in corrective action, depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
Corrective action may include:
- Coaching or informal guidance
- Verbal or written warning
- Temporary suspension from instructional duties
- Removal from specific programs or educational activities
- Termination of the educator’s relationship with Monse-Heart Education LLC when appropriate
Educator Acknowledgment
By accepting an instructional role with Monse-Heart Education LLC, educators acknowledge their responsibility to uphold this Educator Code of Conduct and to represent Monse-Heart with professionalism, integrity, and respect.
Educators are expected to remain familiar with this policy and any future updates issued by Monse-Heart Education LLC.
